Crispin signs exclusive contract
with Previdente
The Crispin Company announces the conclusion of an exclusive agreement with Previdente, owners of Emesa (Spain), Italcables (Italy), and Socitrel (Portugal) for representation and distribution of its pc strand products in the United States.
We are enthused to represent these mills with proven track records in both post-tensioning and prestressing applications, such as major bridge work, stay cable, post-tensioned commercial, ground stabilization and retention, railroad ties…in the most stringent worldwide markets. Their professionalism, quality products, and quality assurance will reassure many in our industry and make them a preferred choice.

We are extremely proud to announce the signature of an exclusive representation contract with HISTEEL COMPANY for major pipe line projects in the United States and major foreign pipe line projects lead by US oil & gas companies for API5L - DSAW longitudinal weld pipe and API2B pipe.
Indeed, with its new state-of-the-art facility in Incheon, South Korea, Histeel is bound for much success in a market where professionalism, quality, and prompt service primes.
With a Haeusler CNC controlled roll bender, Haeusler full length cold expander, Hyundai hydo-test, Seifert ultrasonic test, and Seifert Radiographic test, Histeel is sure to meet, and exceed, the most stringent oil & gas quality control procedures.
Histeel’s production range of DSAW longitudinal weld encompasses ODs of 16” to 60” and WTs of 0.236” to 1.575” in grades up to X70 (max WT of 1.377” for X-80), subject of course to all API and ISO licenses and accreditations.

The Crispin Company is proud to announce its four pc strand mills have been audited by Professional Service Industries (PSI), on behalf of the Post Tensioning Institute (PTI), in compliance with the new PTI Mill Certification Program, and have successfully passed all criteria of accreditation.
The production of pc strand, and inspection/testing procedures covered by this accreditation, are conducted in accordance with the PTI Manual of Certification, and the plant’s approved Quality Assurance Manual. Annual plant inspections and semi-annual independent strand testing are conducted by PSI to monitor the plant’s quality system.
Our pc strand partners’ audit demonstrated their outstanding manufacturing process, in plant quality control, testing, and inspection program for the production of pc strand in compliance with the Post Tensioning Institute Manual of Certification of Plants Producing Prestressed Concrete Strand and ASTM A370 (Standard Test Methods and Definitions for Mechanical Testing of Steel Products) and ASTM A416 (Standard Specification for Steel Strand, Uncoated Seven-Wire for Prestressed Concrete).

 ANDRE CRISPIN ANNOUNCED HIS RETIREMENT
Andre A. Crispin has announced his retirement as Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of The Crispin Company, which he founded in 1949.
The Crispin Company, headquartered in Houston-Texas, pioneered the import of steel mill products to the United States in the early days after WWII. Over the years the company has represented major steel companies from leading steel producing areas of the world.
At present, the company is a major importer of API5CT and API5L pipes serving the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries, and is the largest U.S. importer of PC strand used post-tensioned, prestressed, and precast applications in various sectors of concrete construction.
Mr. Crispin has had major roles in local civic activities and was, prior to his retirement, the most senior Houston Consular Official. He has represented Belgium in Houston as Consul General for over 52 years.
He is succeeded by the company's current President & Chief Executive Officer, Jacques E. Bouchez who also now serves as Consul General of Belgium in Houston.

 Shanghai Shenjia Metal Products develops 300k ASTM A416 pc strand for The Crispin Company
The Crispin Company is proud to announce the development of a ½”ASTM A416 300k pc strand for specialized applications in both the post-tensioning and prestressed concrete industries.
Indeed, we have successfully supplied the A416 300k strand to several post-tensioners and prestressers from Shanghai Shenjia Metal Products, a partner for pc strand supply to The Crispin Company since 1995.
The 300k strand is produced under the strictest QC procedures implemented by Shanghai Shenjia, newly certified mill by the Post-Tensioning Institute.
We are excited to offer this grade to these industries as it encompasses high yield and breaking for the same diameter and area as the ½” ASTM A416 270k. This opens a whole new realm of design to architects. With time, we believe stress loads will be pushed to new elevations and new possibilities in architectural designs.
